How You Can Help

We don't receive funding from the Council or Government, and we are completely reliant on the kindness and generosity of others in order to keep the sanctuary open and care for all of our animals.  Every little helps and we are extremely grateful for your support - our work and successes are only possible thanks to your help and generosity!  Below are just a few examples of how YOU can help us.

Spread the Word...

One of the simplest ways that you can help us is simply to spread the word! Tell your friends about Brockswood, share our posts on social media, encourage people to visit and support out work - remember, we are here thanks to YOU and your support! We can't do this without you.

Donate Funds

If you would like to donate money towards our work, you can do so online via PayPal, by post (we don't recommend sending cash in the post), or in person.  If making a donation by cheque, please make it payable to 'Brockswood at Cotwall End'.

If you would like to set up a Standing Order, our details are:

  • Name: Brockswood at Cotwall End

  • Account #: 27097480

  • Sort Code: 09-01-56

Any sum is greatly appreciated, no matter how big or small - with your help, we can really make a difference to so many lives!

Buy Animal Food & Supplies

Many people like to see exactly what their donations are going towards, and this way you can pick exactly what we spend your donations on! A few people have kindly bought us sacks of animal food, but the amount paid on postage means that we probably could have bought even more from our own supplier for the same price! Your donation will enable us to purchase the item on your behalf, knocking the money off our very high monthly feed bill.

It costs us thousands of pounds to feed and care for our animals, and during the winter our bills increase even more, with extra feeds needed as the animals use more energy to keep warm, and the grass is scarce - we can spend hundreds a month on hay alone!

Your gifts can be totally anonymous, or you can choose to let us know so that we can thank you!  We will be posting photos of your gifts in action here and on our Facebook page!  They really do make a big difference and mean so much to not only our animals but our staff too, who work tirelessly looking after them all.  It really does mean the world to us to know that you care too.

Support Veterinary Treatment

A lot of our work involves caring for sick and injured animals, and we pride ourselves on ALWAYS doing what we can for them (whereas many animal establishments will weigh up the cost of the vet bills against the cost of simply replacing the animal). This means that our vet bills, aside from the animal food, rent and utility bills, are often our biggest!

These can range from a couple of pounds spent on daily medications to THOUSANDS of pounds; such as Daisy the pig's complex veterinary treatment, which even involved a trip to the Liverpool University Veterinary Hospital!

Any help with this would be greatly appreciated and means that we can continue our work with these animals in need, and not have to think twice about providing them with the health care that they require.

See our Veterinary Treatment page for more information.

Brockswood Sponsorship Pack

Sponsor an Animal

Sponsorship makes an ideal and original gift at any time of the year for an animal-loving friend or relative, and we can even post directly to them if you like! Or why not treat yourself? Not only are you treating the recipient, but our animals as well, as profits go straight towards caring for that animal. This can buy food, bedding, helps us to pay for important medications and veterinary treatment, plus enclosure renovations.

Severn Trent Volunteer Days.jpg

We try to keep our admin costs as low as possible so that we can put the majority of our money directly towards the animals. We, therefore, rely very much on the kindness of our volunteers.  Why not come and join the team... you would be made most welcome!  Whether you're working directly with our animals, or helping out elsewhere on site, it all goes towards ensuring that the animals get the best care possible, and allowing us to continue to take in and rescue unwanted, neglected and abused animals in the future!

Whether you have a lot of time on your hands or just a couple of hours, any help is most appreciated!

Please note we are unable to accept volunteers under the age of 18 at this time.
