Important Information About the Event

Booking

There is no need to book in advance for this event, all admission will be taken on the day. We accept both cash and card payments in our shop.

Season/Animal Sponsor Pass Holders are entitled to free entry to this event.

Finding Us

Car: Our postcode is DY3 3YE. Sat Navs tend to take you further away from the sanctuary, a little higher up the hill - we are right at the bottom of Catholic Lane.

Bus/Pedestrians: The #1 and 27/27a buses run from both Dudley and Wolverhampton and have stops close to the sanctuary, please see the NX West Midlands website for more details about the #1 and the Diamond Buses website for more about the 27/27a services. From here you can walk down to the sanctuary - please be careful if walking down Catholic Lane as there is not a pedestrian path all the way down this road.

Parking

We do have FREE on-site parking and we will be opening our overflow car park. However, we ask that you please car-share with family and friends if possible to help us make our spaces stretch further and help avoid disappointment for others as our car park is fairly small. On arrival, you will be shown where to park by one of our volunteer stewards - please be patient with them.

Cash & Card Payments

We accept both cash and card payments in our shop. There will also be a variety of craft stalls at the event which may or may not have card machines. We, therefore, advise that you bring ample cash/change with you to avoid disappointment! Please note we do not have a cash machine on site, but there are various cash points near the sanctuary located on Sedgley high street.

Classes

  • TBC

Puppies

We are suggesting that puppies under 6 months do not enter for their safety due to their sensitive immune system at this young age.

Puppies are welcome to enter every class except the Golden Oldies class.

Sophie Pritchard Award

We have a special prize that will be awarded to the dog that we think has worked the hardest but sadly not won a class. This class is in honour of Sophie Pritchard, a young lady who sadly passed away aged just 25. She loved animals and life, she had a pony until her illness forced her into a wheelchair where she found love with her Jack Russell dogs. She was very educated, very driven, and fun-loving, and didn't let her illness hold her back.

Rules

  • Any reactive dogs showing behaviours that they are worried will be asked to leave the ring for the dog's welfare.

  • The Judge's decision is final.

  • This is a FUN dog show and not run to Kennel Club rules.

  • Treats can be used in the ring but must be in a secure bag or pocket and not used to tempt or distract other dogs.

  • All dogs must be kept on leads unless in the off-lead run.
